UPDATE ON GEORGE
I feel like such a jerk. I was mad at george for peeing everywhere.. until my brilliant animal loving sister in law, Jenn, mentioned he might have a urinary tract infection. I researched it online.. and he was showing all the symptoms. IT GOT BAD.. it got to the point at night where he was trying to pee and nothing was comming out.. poor guy!! So i called the VET ASAP and DEMANDED he be seen today!!! They got him in and the dr confirmed he did have a UTI and a possible kidney stone or infection. They will XRAY him if it dosent improve with a week from the antibiotics they perscribed him. He also had two shots.. my poor baby.. i luv my george i couldnt sleep all night cuz i was worried about him and checking up on him like crazy!!! The cats can die within 48 hours if they have a urinary obstruction like a stone. PLEASE PRAY for my george!!!!

That just happened to my cat Merv. He was in the hospital for a week. Its very common in male cats and to prevent it from happening again you have to feed them Urinary SD Prescription Pet Food. You can buy it at any vet location. My cat almost died and had blood in his urine for days and days. If I hadn't taken him to the vet he would be dead for sure.

ReplyDeleteAww poor George. I will pray for that little guy. Ash gets them often, his are never obstructed though. We feed him the UTI food and he's good to go. Very common, but now you know what to expect.
